Project: Nuno Felted Wearable Scarf Wrap

Learn the art of Nuno felting by adding hand dyed wool and alpaca fiber to silk and/or gauze fabric to create one-of-a-kind works of art! Fun filled day of colors, fabric and fleece!
Nuno felting technique can be used to create so many wonderful wearable accessory items such as: belts, purses, hats, headbands, coats, capes, cloaks, etc.
Many colors of fiber to choose from. Create multi-colored works of art!

During the felting process, wool fibers migrate through the loose woven cotton fabric and entangle. The wool eventually shrinks, pulling the fabric along with it, which results in an incredibly lightweight garment that drapes beautifully.

Schedule:


10 am - 12:30 pm: Fiber Time! Layer beautiful onto fabric base, adding thread, yarn, trimming, etc. Then Nuno felt (ancient form of wet felting onto silk and other types of fabric) into a creative masterpiece. Let dry while you break for lunch.

12:30 pm - 2 pm: "Lunch on Your Own" while your masterpiece dries. There are numerous eateries no more than 5-10 minutes from studio such as: Toronto's Po-Boy's, Love Shack, Applebee's, Olive Garden, Newks, Red Lobster, China Garden, Starbucks, Subway, to name a few.

2 pm - 3 pm: Return to iron and pickup.
