Workshop: Bisque Sagger Firing at Makana Art Studio!

Only (4) spots available per session

You will have the opportunity to create one sagger vessel each.
(Note: We will have different types of vessel’s available. First come first serve. Thank you)

DAY ONE (ONE HOUR SESSION):
*You will add plant matter, salt, sugar, color pigments, copper wire, peacock feathers, horse or alpaca hair on outside of selected vessels and then wrap it all up in aluminum foil,
baked potato style.
*Once wrapped, we will load the Sagger wrapped vessel’s into the kiln to be fired to approximately 1600 degrees F.
*We will fire overnight to allow plant matter and other materials to enhance Sagger fired bisque vessels.

DAY TWO (ONE HOUR SESSION):
On the following day we will unload, unwrap, clean, wax polish and seal your beautiful Sagger vessels

From Interstate-10: Take exit 41 and head north on Shriner's Blvd. (Old Hwy. 67) to 4-way light. Turn left onto Woolmarket Rd. Turn at 2nd left onto Airport Rd. Go half way down Airport Rd. and turn left onto Delynn Dr. Studio is on the right.

From Hwy. 67: Take a right at 4-way light onto Shriner's Blvd. (Old Hwy. 67) Drive south to 4-way light and turn right onto Woolmarket Rd. Turn at 2nd left onto Airport Rd. Go half way down Airport Rd. and turn left onto Delynn Dr. Studio is on the right.
